Waking at first light
or in the darkness of night,
eyes glazed in mist
remnants of a lucid life
and of the lives once lived
crack, and crumble, and fall.
And as the fragments peel away,
revealing the true nature of the sky.
So to do the dreams,
as they fall from the eye.
